Hi,

I am a s/w developer.

We installed Peoplesoft in some(more than 20) machines.These 3 m/c's are connected to a large network.

From these three machines we are not able to open PeopleTool(Application Designer)

It's hanging.

But from otehr few m/c's we are able to open the Application Designer.

thanks in advance

Seems like you have done the local installation of PeopleTools in all the 20 machines.

Typically PeopleTools is not dependent on network issues.

What may be happening is these 3 machines may not have enough RAM.

Now when you say hanging, are you not able to put username and password?

If you are able to put user name and password, than look into the cache directory if the PeopleSoft cache directory is growing.

Try connecting the database in 3 tier mode, sometimes that also help.

In PeopleSoft 8xx it also needs an oracle 9i client installed to the local machine make sure you have that.

Look into the task manager whether you have pside.exe process running when you see the system is hanging.

Hope it helps.
